Rainbow Parade, by Sierra Larson

Let your light so shine

A light on the hill

Lit up in rainbow colors

For the world to see

All my life I was told it’s a sin

To indulge those thoughts

Don’t let your mind dwell on them

Just turn it off like a light switch

It’s dark in that place

Cold, forsaken, lonely

And you can’t turn off your thoughts

Any more than you can turn off the sun

At the rainbow parade

I found others like me

No longer broken

Letting our light proudly shine
